At a status conference held before the District Court in Eastern Sarajevo the Defence and Prosecution said that, according to the previous evidence presentation plan, they were supposed to examine one witness each.
Dragan Gotovac, Defence attorney of indictee Ostojic, said that, in the upcoming period he would search for the address of the witness, whom he planned to examine.
The Trial Chamber ordered Mirza Hukeljic, District Prosecutor of the Eastern Sarajevo District Prosecution, to provide information about the witness, who was proposed to testify, but had been unavailable so far.
Once we have received those pieces of information, we shall proceed with the main trial, said Trial Chamber Chairwoman Zenaida Husic.
Ostojic, former member of reserve police forces with the Special Unit of the Public Safety Station in Vlasenica, is charged with having participated in the beating of civilians in Susica detention camp during the course of 1992.
The indictment alleges that, acting in collaboration with other members of that formation, Ostojic took Bosniaks out of Susica detention camp and beat them, using police batons, rifle butts, their legs and their hands.
The trial of Ostojic began in 2009. The last hearing was held on May 10 this year.
The continuation of the trial will be scheduled at a later stage.
